Tips for a smooth arrival
- Use the official taxi queue. At Suvarnabhumi it's on Level 1; take a ticket from the kiosk. Ignore anyone offering a "taxi" inside the terminal.
- Insist on the meter. Drivers should use it. The ฿50 airport fee and tolls are added on top — that's normal.
- Have small notes. Drivers often can't change ฿1,000 notes. Break one at a 7-Eleven in the terminal.
- Arriving late at night? The Airport Rail Link stops running around midnight; a taxi or pre-booked car is your best option.
